Greetings to you. My name is Don Cruz. I am 81 years old and and my passion is to help the homeless in the streets of Portland. As I continue to provide blankets to the homeless,  I came to realize that so many of them go hungry throughout the day. They need a meal but more importantly they need to know that people care for them. Some of them did not choose to end up this way. Many people today are reluctant to do give them money because they think they would use it for drugs and alcohol. So instead of doing that why not give a McDonalds gift card so they can have a meal. After all, don’t we hope that if we do give them money they would do exactly that.  This is why I wanted to start a campaign on Fund Hope.

Please pray fully partner with me as I raise $120 to start with. I plan on buying 12 food gift cards at $10 each to give to 12 homeless people. Along with each gift card, I intend  give them a track called “The Business Of Life At A Profit” written by a dear friend of mine whose name is Dick Pearson.

I want nothing from this but to give God the Glory.

I will be updating you on this cause on a regular basis by posting pictures, updates, videos so you see the impact of your giving. I also hope one day write a blog of my experience for the first time and share with you all.  Stay tuned.

Thank you so much for reading this. More importantly, thank you for your prayers and support.

In Christ,

Don Cruz

What a great idea Don. Hope others too will partner on this journey. You seize to amaze me but more importantly the you really have a heart for people. I love to the booklet that people can download as it is so very true and meaningful. Keep up what you are doing. I think many people will connect you and they too can start some thing like this in their city, town or neighborhood. 🙂
