How does Fund Hope work?

Step 1: CREATE A CAMPAIGN

Sign up to create your very own free Fund Hope Steward Profile. Your information then goes through our approval process team. Once approved, all your completed campaign information is displayed, from campaign goals to amount you raised for your cause.

Step 2: START A CAMPAIGN

As soon as your profile is approved, you can start a cause that you have a passion for. Whether helping the orphans, taking care of the sick, or raising money to help farmers, you can use Fund Hope to help others. Your campaign will have its own personalized page and can be customized to have a compelling video story, pictures, articles and blogs that show the impact of donations. Within your page, you set a realistic campaign goal and showcase the reasons that people should donate to your cause and how you plan to use the funding.

Email, newsletters, social media and other communication tools are the best way to get the word out about your cause to your family and friends who can then share it with their network of connections. Use our built-in marketing tools to spread the word to friends, family and other potential donors via Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. You can post regular updates to inspire and motivate donors to connect and support your cause.

Step 4: FUND YOUR CAUSE

With Fund Hope, all donations go directly to you. With us, there are no deadlines or limits as each donation goes to fund your act of service. The donations to your cause are transferred directly to your WePay or Stripe account. If you are doing the work of Christ, we want to support your efforts by connecting you with people who want to fund your work.

What types of causes can I raise money for?

Fund Hope is based on relationships rather than transaction. Our focus is on supporting ordinary people who are helping others. Organized missions have their own fundraising; we want to support individuals who have a passion for a particular service. Some examples would be to help orphans or widows or to support farmers and the elderly. Perhaps there is a specific family in medical crisis, or a child in need of school supplies. There are many reasons you can raise money. It all depends on the passion that God has given you to do.

Donor Questions

Is my donation tax deductible?

Your donation to a US-based 501(c)3 charitable organization through Fund Hope is 100% tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Donations to non 501(c)3 organizations are not tax-deductible. We will email you a donation receipt to keep for your records.

Is my donation safe?

Yes. Extremely. We use a best-in-class secure payment encryption technology. Fund Hope processes donations through WePay and Stripe.

Do I need to have an account to make a donation?

No. You do NOT need a Fund Hope account to make a donation.

Will I get a donation receipt?

Yes. Upon completing the donation process, a receipt will be emailed to the email address you specified. Please make sure you type in the correct email address.

Can donors give privately?

Yes. Donors can simply check the “do not list backers” box to keep their donations private.

Can donors write a check to a cause?

Yes. Donors can write a check and send it to the address of their cause.

Is Fund Hope free?

Yes. It is free to create a campaign on Fund Hope.

Are there any transaction fees?

Our credit processing company Wepay fees are 2.9 % + $0.30 per transaction. These fees are incurred by the donor. All causes receive 100% of it contribution. Fund Hope does not charge any corporate fees.

Who is a Steward?

The biblical doctrine of stewardship defines a person's relationship to God. It identifies God as owner and the steward as the manager. God makes that person His co-worker in administering all aspects of his or her life. You do not need to be associated with an organized mission or to travel far in order to be a Fund Hope steward. You just need to have a passion for a particular service.

Who can donate to my cause?

Everyone. We suggest you start by sharing your cause first to people who are already connected to you in your life. After your campaign receives the necessary support, you can then begin to attract the support of others.

What is the list of countries supported?

United States of America ($USD), United Kingdom (£GBP), Canada ($CAD), Europe (€EUR), and Australia ($AUD).

Can donors in other countries support my campaign?

Yes. Donors from around the world will soon be able to support any cause. We are currently on this feature where people from other parts of the other than the currently supported countries can donate to causes they which to support.

Do donors get charged?

The Campaign Process

How can I withdraw the money?

Once you receive a donation, you can easily request a withdrawal at any time.

How do stewards receive money?

It is very simple. You receive your donations in real time. Payments are processed quickly by WePay or Stripe, our payment processors, and are automatically transferred from WePay (US based donors) or Stripe (International based donors) to the bank account for your cause.

Does Fund Hope have any deadline dates?

With Fund Hope, there are no deadlines or time limits. Your campaign will remain live until you choose to stop donations or remove the campaign altogether.

What happens if I do not reach my goal?

With Fund Hope, you get to keep every donation you receive but it’s very important that you set a realistic goal for your campaign. Other sites may use an "all-or-nothing" model, where you must raise the entire amount of your goal in order to receive the money. Fund Hope wants you to have access to every donation immediately so you can work on your cause.

What is the Steward Checklist?

Provide a link to a social media account, such as Facebook or Twitter, that is connected to your cause.
Provide a high quality picture or video to be uploaded to your campaign's profile.

Provide a description of the ministry, project or work that is being done: the Who, What, When, Where, and Why.
Provide a compelling description of your cause. Why should people give?
Set up a merchant account with WePay for US/Canada residents and Stripe for European.
Sign and return the Fund Hope Partnership Agreement document.
